Cry of The Children - Elizabeth Browning
Cry of the children was written by Elizabeth Browning in Victorian age, and criticized this term.
In Victorian Age, cause of the industrial revolution, a lot of factories built. And they need to more people to work in these factories. So, children of the poor people were forced to work in factories, Bacause they have to support their family, they have to help their family, they were poor. These children went to work at a very young age.
Result of these, Browning wrote the Cry of the Children to support these children.
She wrote about children who were forced to work in factories and mines. She wrote to espose the horrific conditio which these children were forced to live or die. And Browning wrote, how the children work such a long hours laboring in the mines and factories of these industrial times.
In addition, She used comparing between children who were forced to work and animals. She wrote baby animal even can play in the medows in a freedom, but these children were not allowed to play, and also they donn't know how can they play.
As a result, we can say, Browning try to support rights of the children in Victorian age, against to factory owners.
